WARD 7 COUNCILLOR JOHN BRASSARD SPENDING THE SUMMER BREAK OF COUNCIL MEETING WITH RESIDENTS

 

July 3, 2007-----Ward 7 Councillor John Brassard won’t be taking much of a break from Barrie City Councils summer recess because he plans on meeting with residents of Ward 7 throughout the Summer.

 

“I’ve been going door-to-door for the last 3 weeks meeting with residents of Ward 7 as time permits while Council has been in session”, said Brassard, a first-term Councillor.  “Now that the summer break is here, I’m looking forward to meeting with more residents on a one-on-one basis to answer any questions they might have about what is happening at City Hall and within the Ward”, Brassard went on to say.

 

Brassard will also use the opportunity to hand out his inaugural Ward 7 newsletter and the visits are part of his campaign promise of being accountable to Ward 7 residents. 

 

Since being elected to Barrie City Council, Ward 7 Councillor John Brassard has established the Ward 7 Ratepayers Committee, been active and involved in the decision making process at City Hall, and has been attentive to the needs of Ward 7 residents often returning phone calls and e-mails within an hour.
