Holly Recreation Centre July 18, 2007 Update


Holly Community Centre is expected to be completed by October with full City of Barrie programs available in January.

The Main entrance to Holly C.C.  When completed, it will be a landmark facility for Ward 7 and will connect south end residents to City Programs

Barrie Advance reporter Laurie Watt toured the new Holly Rec Centre along with Acting Director of Leisure, Transit and Facilities Randy Watson and Ward 7 Councillor John Brassard.

The Gymnasium takes advantage of Natural light reducing energy costs with floor to ceiling windows.  The viewing area is also expanded in a lesson learned from East Bayfield.

Hockey change rooms have been re-configured from East Bayfield allowing for more room.

The fitness room again takes advantage of natural light and in the fall and winter will provide a view of the Ardagh Bluffs.
