The motion was approved by General Committee and will go to Council on Monday November 5, 2007.
In consultation with City staff, the following item for discussion will be coming to General Committee on October 29, 2007 in an effort to address and possibly change the permanent 40 km/h zone on Essa Rd. near Timothy Christian School to a flashing 40 km/h zone during school hours:
"That staff in the Engineering Department investigate the feasibility of amending the Community Safety Zone Policy to permit staff to exercise engineering judgment prior to amending the rate of speed to 40km/h within a Community Safety Zone and report back to General Committee.
