On December 10, 2007, Barrie Council Council approve a motion to maintain a 4 way stop at Brucker and Emms.

Initially, the intersection was to have the stop sign reversed from Emms to Brucker as of November 30, 2007 however a motion to maintain it as a 4 way stop sign by Ward 7 Councillor John Brassard was approved. 

Residents in the area called and e-mailed Councillor Brassard wanting it to remain a 4 way because they felt much safer crossing the street on their way to Holly Meadow Schhol and noticed a significant reduction in the speed on Emms.

As a result, the 4 way stop sign will now stay.
